mates just need some advice on hookin up me subby, its goin in the boot but i do alot of campin up the river so i need space, either way im gettin another one and i have the box made, just want your points of view on wot way i should face them behind the back seats, ive heard u get way more base if u face the sub face in the box toward the backseat, or have them facing out the back, real stuck on this mates, any input would be major helpful.

keep it spinnin DAMQIK

Mate if you have your sub facing the seats and next to them you wont get enough bass becuase the subs waves need to bounce around in your boot so i found and alot of other people have agreed with me if you have your subs facing towards the out side of your boot and the back of the sub box near the back seats you will get alot more bass then you would having them facing towards your cabin.

Facing upwards like i had in project simbar is wrong i just did it so that u can see the sub working but usualy i have it facing the cabin but right at the back of the boot.

With a twin 12" sub enclosure if you have a twin box and both facing out side the boot but sitting near the back bench you put the centre peice down and it will sound really loud in the cabin and way better then it would if you were to have them facing into the cabin.

Play around with your subs position and you will find which ever position your ears like best will suit you.

After all not everyone shares the same tastes in bass and melody and beats.

Mate thats a problem with commodores over 15 years which have had a long life in moist and hot weather conditions.

With the sub or subs do what i did and install your amp on the back centre peice of your rear bench and the sub or subs near the end of the boot so that incase it rains it wont go on the electrics.

Lucky for me the previous owner said water gets in through the back lights but i still havent seen any signs of water in my boot.

Also one more thing vn-vx mainly commodores when you open the boot even though there is a boot seal along the boot water will still splash into the boot when it rains heavely.

Hahahaha its funny commodores and fords share the same rust issues.

Funny thing is beleive it or not i have never found a ford falcon yet which had rust and water leaking at the front and back windows and boot seals.
